COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 96.66 per cent in Maharashtra

Maharashtra reported a little over 6 thousand fresh Corona virus positive cases and 177 fatalities yesterday, taking the tally of infections to 63 lakh 21 thousand and the toll to over one lakh 33 thousand. According to the data released by the State Health Department, 6,799 patients recovered from the infectious disease. AIR correspondent reports that there are 74,318 active cases and the state's COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 96.66 per cent. The case fatality rate is 2.1 per cent. Mumbai reported 291 new cases and three deaths, which raised the overall case-load to seven lakh 35 thousand and the count of fatalities to over 15,900.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">Pune Division reported over 2,200 cases during the day, including 690 in Pune, 595 in Satara and 544 in Solapur districts. Jalgaon and Parbhani cities as well as Nandurbar, Hingoli, Yavatmal, Bhandara, Gondia and Chandrapur districts did not report a single COVID-19 case yesterday.</span><br />
