COVID-19 recovery rate increases to 53.47 per cent in Puducherry

<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Puducherry, the COVID-19 recovery rate has been increased to 53.47 per cent and the mortality rate is 1.22 per cent. As per the report, 50 persons were tested positive for the Coronavirus Disease today, taking the total toll of active cases to 665.<br />''<br />''According to the COVID-19 status report released today by the Puducherry Health Department, 49 new cases were reported in the Puducherry region, one reported in Karaikal region. Of the new cases, 33  cases were admitted to the Government Medical College, 16 to JIPMER and one in Karaikal Government Hospital. Apart from that 44 persons from Government Medical College, two from Mahe GH with a total of 46 cases were discharged. Presently 387 cases are being treated at the Government Medical college, 123 in Jipmer, 76 in CCC, 53 in Karaikal GH, one in Mahe GH ,25 in Yanam GH. So far, 1,468 persons were infected by the virus of which 785 were treated and discharged, 18 died leaving 665 active cases in hospitals.</span><br />
