COVID-19 recovery rate climbs up to 95.6% in Karnataka

<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar informed that the positivity rate in the state remains constant at 2.62 per cent and recovery rate climbs up to 95.6 per cent.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru today, he added that no deaths due to COVID were reported in 10 districts on Sunday.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Except for four districts, all the other districts have a positivity rate of below five per cent.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister informed that after UP and Maharashtra, the highest number of over three crore 36 lakh and 73 thousand COVID tests are conducted in Karnataka.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He further said that the state has reported 3,232 cases of Mucormycosis.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Out of them, 387 have recovered and 262 have died of the fungal infection.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Over 1,600 persons have undergone surgeries and are under treatment.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Health Department is in talks with Dr. Reddy's labs to procure 2DG medicine for COVID developed by DRDO.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In the history of the State Health Department around 4,000 doctors have been engaged in the last two months filling the vacant posts.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr. Sudhakar informed that following the Supreme Court order, MBBS doctors will be deputed in Taluk and District Hospitals for a year on contract basis.</span><br />''  <br />
