<span style="color: #222222;">Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said that Rajya Sabha Secretariat resumed functioning today after 27 days since lockdown came into force on 25th March.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a series of tweets, the Rajya Sabha Chairman said, officials have been asked to transact core business that cannot be deferred by deploying manpower accordingly in conformity with the spirit of norms of lockdown.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Naidu said, directions have been given to put in place all required safeguards to prevent the virus and it began with sanitizing vehicles at points of entry into Parliament House and screening of body temperatures of employees and others. He appealed to all concerned to ensure such safeguards at workplaces.</span><br />
