COVID-19 positivity rate comes down below 5 per cent for 2nd consecutive day in Odisha

In Odisha, the COVID-19 positivity rate has come down below 5 per cent for the second consecutive day today. The state reported a total of 2957 new cases from out of 61,607 samples tested during the last 24 hours.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, while the positivity rate has scaled down to 4.79 per cent today, the COVID-19 trajectory in the state continues to dangle down with each passing day. The state now has a total active caseload of about 35 thousand from a high of 1.09 lakh when the viral transmission was peaking. Along with this, as many as 18 out of the 30 districts each, have reported cases below 100 today with a maximum of 408 cases in Khordha district and a minimum of only three in Jharsuguda district. However, the state also reported 38 fresh fatalities today taking the death toll due to COVID-19 to 3671. </span><br />
