Covid-19 lockdown: Govt relaxes timelines for completing renewable energy projects

<span style="color: #222222;">In a major relaxation, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has stated that Lockdown due to COVID-19 will be treated as Force Majeure by its implementing agencies. The Ministry also announced an extension equivalent to the lockdown and additional thirty days for completion of the stalled renewable energy projects. In this blanket extension to the implementing agencies case to case examination would not be required. Referring to the Renewable Energy Departments both at the centre and states , the Ministry has asked them to treat lockdown due to COVID-19, as Force Majeure and grant appropriate time extension on this account.</span><br />
