The authorities are relentlessly reaching out to the public on a daily basis and seeking their cooperation for the effective adherence to Advisories in containing the spread of the upsurge in the number of Coronavirus cases being reported in Kashmir Division. &nbsp;<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, Jammu and Kashmir yesterday witnessed the highest ever surge of 493 cases taking the total number of Coronavirus positive cases in the Union Territory to 11,666. Among the new cases, 57 were reported from Jammu whereas the highest 436 cases were reported from Kashmir Division. Eleven fatalities have also taken place in Kashmir valley.<br />'' <br />'' Srinagar district continues to show the rising trend with the registering of 153 new cases yesterday taking the active cases in Srinagar district to 1,488.<br />'' <br />'' Keeping in view of the alarming spike especially in Kashmir Division, Adviser to Lieutenant Governor Baseer Ahmad Khan has appealed to the people to religiously follow the SOPs like wearing face masks, use sanitizers and maintain social distancing norms so as to contain the alarming spread of the contagion.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />
