<span style="color: #222222;">Amidst the global pandemic, Government of India will facilitate the return of more than 5,000 distressed Indians from various countries in the Gulf within a week. The government yesterday announced that it will facilitate the return of Indian nationals stranded abroad in compelling circumstances, in a phased manner, starting from 7th of this month.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Indian Missions in the Gulf are all gearing up for this massive operation.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to informed sources, around two dozen flights are likely to be operated from the various Gulf countries including UAE , Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain in the first week of the evacuation. These flights are likely to be scheduled for different destinations in India.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Non-scheduled commercial flights will be operated for this purpose. Tickets will be issued by Air India on the basis of the list received by them from various Missions. Returnees are expected to pay for their flight tickets.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A list is being made from those who had e- registered on the portals of the Missions in these countries. The list is&nbsp; being made keeping in mind the distressed blue collared workers especially those who have lost their jobs or their work permits have expired, those needing medical attention, aged and elderly people, pregnant women and some others requiring other immediate attention.</span>
