The Health Department has expressed confidence that the rate in the two will also go down below ten percent in the next few days. After July 19, the total active caseload in the state dropped below the fifty thousand mark for the first time last Wednesday which has been put at nearly 48.5 thousand yesterday. Another notable milestone is the daily new infections in Chennai, which remains under a thousand for the eighth day consecutively.
