Government says that coverage of the National Trust will be widened to ensure that optimum services are delivered to a large number of differently-abled people. Addressing a meeting of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee attached to his Ministry, Social Justice & Empowerment Minister Mukul Wasnik said that network of Association for Rehabilitation under the National Trust, ARUNIM will also be expanded to reach the maximum number of members of the target group. ARUNIM works towards the economic empowerment of persons with moderate to severe disabilities in partnership with NGOs.The Meeting also took stock of the various activities and programmes of the National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities.
