In Uttar Pradesh a local court at Lakhimpur Kheri district has ordered for lodging FIR against three doctors, who had conducted the first post mortem of the teenaged girl, who was allegedly raped and killed inside the police station premises in Nighasan town. Chief Judicial Magistrate RK Shukla has passed this order on an application seeking action against doctors for their negligence in discharge their duties. The application was moved by a NGO. The court has directed the district police to investigate the case after lodging FIR. The three doctors have already been suspended by the government for dereliction of their duties. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that the girl was found dead in mysterious condition in Nighasan police station premises and her mother had alleged rape and murder of her daughter by the policemen. In the second autopsy it was revealed that strangulation to be the main cause of the death and the post mortem report also disclosed four physical injury marks on the body. At the other hand the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has sought a reply from the state Government on a writ petition seeking a CBI probe into the case. A division bench of justices Rajiv Sharma and S C Chaurasia has directed the government to submit its reply within a week's time. Parents of the girls have filed a petition to the court seeking a direction for the CBI inquiry into Nighasan case. National Human Rights Commission and Nation Commission for Women have also issued notices separately to the state government.
