In Sri Lanka, the First Court Martial hearing of former Sri Lankan Army Commander Retired General Sarath Fonseka has been postponed to 5th of next month. A lawyer of General Fonseka said the hearing which was scheduled for today has been postponed following a Court of Appeal order. General Fonseka is in military custody.<br/><br/>The hearing for the second court martial is scheduled for today afternoon.<br/><br/>Two tribunals have been constituted to enquire into two separate set of charges against Sarath Fonseka. The first pertains to his alleged political activities while still in uniform and the second on the military purchases made by him allegedly in contravention of the set procedures.
