In Gujarat, a special court in Anand district today announced life imprisonment to nine persons convicted in a case related to 2002 Ode massacre. Court also announced 6 months imprisonment to one person under section 323 for minor scuffle, while 30 accused were acquitted. Court acquitted 17 persons as innocent while acquitted 13 persons with the benefit of doubt.

AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that the case relates to the killing of three minority people. They were burnt to death by a mob at Malav Bhaghol area of Ode village of Anand district during the post Godhara riots.
