Course prepared to create mid-level health professionals: Min Azad

The government has prepared a 3-year course aimed at creating mid-level health professionals in the country.

Giving this information in a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Health and Family welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said health professionals holding B.Sc Community Health degree, will primarily be deployed at health sub-centres.

They will possess the necessary public health and ambulatory care competencies to serve rural areas.The proposed course is likely to be introduced in states willing to adopt it from the next academic session.
