Country's oil refining capacity is expected to increase by over 22 per cent by 2013 after commissioning of new refineries in Orissa and Punjab.This was stated by Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas R P N Singh at a function in New Delhi on Monday.Mr Singh said that the refining capacity will increase to 238 million tonnes per annum from the present 194 million tonnes.State-owned Indian Oil Corporation is building a 15 million tonnes per annum refinery at Paradip, in Orissa, while Hindustan Petroleum Corp Limited is constructing a nine million tonnes per annum unit at Bhatinda, in Punjab.In addition, Bharat Petroleum Corp has proposed to raise the capacity of its recently commissioned refinery at Bina, in Madhya Pradesh, to nine million tonnes per annum from six million tonnes at present.
