Output of the country's eight infrastructure industries grew 4.9 per cent in November 2016, helped by a healthy performance of the electricity sector. The eight infrastructure sectors had grown 0.6 per cent in November 2015, and 6.6 per cent in October 2016. <br/><br/>According to data released by the commerce and industry ministry today, coal output rose 6.4 percent in November, steel output increased 5.6 percent, and electricity generation surged 10.2 per cent. Refinery output rose 2 percent, and cement output rose 0.5 per cent in November. But crude oil production declined 5.4 percent, and natural gas production contracted 1.7 per cent.
