Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu today said the country will become stronger only when it is healthy in cleanliness. Taking part in the Swachh-Shakti Week celebrations held at Siddipet in Telangana state this evening, he appealed to people for maintaining cleanliness in all rural and urban areas. <br/><br/>He said the prime minister has launched several programmes for eradicating poverty, elimination of corruption and development of downtrodden and backward classes. He appreciated Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao for extending his support for decision of demonetisation and the union Government will take up several programmes with the money generated out of it. The minister emphasized the need for toilets in every school and reminded that it was the instruction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
