Union Minister for Power and Corporate Affairs Dr Veerappa Moily today said that the country needs to double its power generation from current two lakh mega watt to four lakh mega watt in coming ten years. The Minister emphasised that to attain double digit growth of the country it is absolutely necessary and the Government is committed to that. While inaugurating a function of Executive trainee 2012 batch and the valedictory function of 2010 batch of National Thermal Power Corporation in New Delhi, Mr Moily called upon the trainees for creating a vibrant and efficient work culture to contribute towards nation building through institution building. On the occassion a book titled 'Making A Difference' on corporate social responsibility initiatives of NTPC was also released.
