Country celebrates Ramnavmi with religious fervour

The Ramnavmi festival was celebrated with religious fervour and devotions throughout the country today. The Main function was held in Ayodhya, the birth place of Lord Rama. <br/><br/>Temples and worship places were tastefully decorated and religious programmes went on throughout the day. Elaborate security arrangement have been made in Ayodhya where, according to district administration, more than 20 lakhs people took part in different religious ceremonies:<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that since morning a large number of devotees thronged to various temples after taking holy dip in Saryu River. At 12’O clock noon the peak of enthusiasm of devotees was visible at Kanak Bhawan temple, when as per the mythological belief Lord Ram was born. The cheering crowed threw colours at each other and sweets were distributed at all the temples.
