In Andhra Pradesh, counting of votes is underway across the state with in the elections held for the local bodies at the District and the Sub district level.

Initial reports suggest that Telugu Desam Party is surging ahead with its candidates leading in 465 Wards at District level, while Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Congress are in neck to neck fight in Telangana region. TRS is in lead at 160 wards while Congress is ahead of others in 135 in the region. YSR Congress is leading at 365 wards in Seemandhra region.

Elections were held in two phases on 6th and 11th of last month for 1095 Wards at District level Zilla Parsihad Territorial Constituencies and 16589 at Sub district level Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies.
