In Kerala, amid tight security all preparations are in place for counting of votes which starts at 8 in the morning Friday. Chief electoral officer Nalini Netto informed in a press conference at Thiruvananthapuram that counting will be held at 64 centres spread across 140 assembly constituencies of the state under the strict vigil of 81 observers of the election commission. Initial leads will be available by the first hour of counting and the final picture will emerge by noon. Most of the exit poll surveys have indicated a slight edge to congress led UDF to seize power to the Kerala assembly.
