The counting of votes for Elections in five Municipalities and one notified area authority will be taken up Tuesday.The Elections were held in Panskura, Haldia, Nalhati, Dhupguri and Durgapur Municapalities and Coopers Camp notified area authority on Sunday where over 85 percent polling were recorded.AIR Correspondent reports that, before next year Panchayet poll in the State the Municipal Elections has assumed special significance.This is the first Municipal Elections after installation of Ms. Mamata Banerjee led Trinamul Congress Government in the State. Earlier, three Municipalities were ruled by the opposition Left front while remaining two and one notified area authority were governed by the Trinamul Congress and Congress separately.
