Counting of votes for the third and final phase of local elections in Nepal is underway. <br/><br/>So far out of 136 local bodies results of 102 have been declared. Nepali Congress is ahead. Nepali Congress has won 32 posts of Mayor/Chairperson and 26 of Deputy Mayor/Vice Chairperson and leading in 8 and 7 places. <br/><br/>Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal got 19 posts of Mayor/Chairperson and 18 of Deputy Mayor/Vice Chairperson. It is leading in 3 and 3 places. <br/><br/>Rashtriya Janata Party Nepal won 18 Mayor/Chairperson and 22 Deputy Mayor/Vice Chairperson posts and leading in 4 and 3 places. Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) has got 16 posts of Mayor/Chairperson and 19 Deputy Mayor/Vice Chairperson and ahead in 5 and 3 places. <br/><br/>Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has won 12 posts of Mayor/Chairperson and 13 of Deputy Mayor/Vice Chairperson and leading at 5 and 10 local bodies. Nepal Loktantrik Party begged 3 posts of Mayor/Chairperson and 4 of Deputy Mayor/Vice Chairperson.<br/><br/>The party is ahead in one local body. Others have won 2 posts of Mayor/Chairperson. Polling in 8 districts of province 2 was held on Monday to elect 6627 local representatives. Local elections in Nepal were held after a gap of 20 years.
