In Gujarat counting of votes for all 182 constituencies spread over 26 districts will take place on Thursday. All arrangements have been completed for counting of votes. At 33 places in various district headquarters.
AIR correspondent reports that in the beginning postal ballets will be counted.
About 8 thousand state and central government employees have been engaged for counting of vote.
Polling was held in the state in two phases and above 71 per cent polling was recorded. A total of 1666 candidates including 95 women are in contest in the state assembly elections.
In Himachal Pradesh, the counting of votes would start at 8.00 AM, on Thursday , at all the 68 counting centres. The elections for the 68 member assembly were held on 4th November.
Speaking to AIR in Shimla, the State Chief Electoral Officer, Narender Chauhan said that the postal ballots would be counted first. Results are expected to be out by afternoon.
