In Uttar Pradesh counting of votes just begun at 12 counting centres and the entire process is expected to be complete by the evening. Meanwhile the recovery of around 100 Electronic Voting Machines EVMs in Shikohabad tehsil led to protest and a state of panic in Firozabad parliamentary constituency. The District Election officer has lodged an FIR against six officials for not depositing EVMs even after two days of the voting. Show cause notices have also been issued to Tehsildar and SDM on the matter.
