In Bihar, counting of votes of by polls in 18 assembly constituencies began on Thursday afternoon. According to the election office, trends would start coming after one hour and results would be known by late Thursday evening. The Assembly bye-poll was held in two phases. Our Patna correspondent reports that all the 18 constituencies witnessed triangular contest. Congress did not have any alliance either with RJD or LJP and has contested all the seats on its own. However, the RJD and LJP have contested the poll jointly under the banner of NDA. JDU has contested 12 and BJP six seats.The counting of votes of two by elections Okhla and Dwarka assembly constituency of Delhi have started and the results will be available later in the afternoon. Additional police force has been deployed at the counting centres to ensure foolproof security arrangements. These two seats fell vacant after two Congress MLAs elected for Parliament.
