Counting of votes for Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh will begin at 0800 hrs today amid tight security.<br/><br/>In Maharashtra, the counting will be held at 288 counting centres. It will decide the political fate of 3,536 candidates.<br/><br/>Over 1,820 independents.60 per cent voting was recorded in the polls held on the 13th of this month.<br/><br/>Over 1.29 lakh state police and central para-military personnel have been deployed to ensure peace.<br/><br/>Director General of Police in-charge of elections, A N Roy, said that adequate number of Central Para Military Forces have been deployed, mainly in naxal-infested districts like Gadchiroli, to assist the police.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Mumbai police have also made elaborate arrangements for trouble-free counting in the mega polis.<br/><br/>In Haryana, Counting will be held in 90 centres for 90 seats. Adequate Central Security Forces have been deployed in the A total of 1222 candidates are in the fray.
