In Andhra Pradesh, the counting of votes for the bye-polls held for 12 Assembly seats in Telangana region has begun with counting of postal ballots. Tight security arrangements have been made at 7 counting stations spread over 5 districts where polling was held on Tuesday. The entire counting process is being videographed and a media and data centre have been set up at every counting center for quick information. The first result from the seven constituencies in which EVMs were used is expected by 11 a.m. while in the other five seats where huge-size ballot boxes were used, the results would be out by the evening. A central observer at each counting center and a micro observer at each counting table are monitoring the process.
