The countdown for the launch of GSLV-F06 from Sriharikota this evening is proceeding smoothly. The lift off is scheduled for 4.04 pm.ISRO spokesman Mr Satish told our Chennai correspondent the countdown activities are proceeding without any hitch. The GSLV-F06 will put in orbit communications satellite GSAT- 5P that weighs 2,310 kg. The satellite which carries 36 transponders will be used for broadcasting radio, television programmes, besides expanding telecommunication and networking banking transactions.
