Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that corruption-free governance in Uttarakhand provides a favorable environment for investment in the state. He said that Uttarakhand has established itself as a policy-driven state by making more than 20 new policies in a very short period. He was addressing the concluding session of the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit at Forest Research Institute in Dehradun on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shah said that the country is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India will become a five trillion dollar economy by the year 2025.<br />'' &nbsp;<br />'' Emphasizing on self-reliant India, the Home Minister said, the country's development has seen significant growth in the economy through Make in India. He added, India is also leading the climate change movement and a terror-free world today.<br />'' &nbsp;<br />'' Mr. Shah said that there is a better law and order system in Uttarakhand, which provides a good environment for investment. He said that through the Global Investors Summit, the state has signed MoUs worth 3.5 lakh crore rupees, which clearly shows Uttarakhand as an investment destination for investors.<br />'' &nbsp;<br />'' Earlier, while addressing the Infrastructure Sectoral session, Union Heavy Industries Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey said that the entire focus of the central government is on the development of infrastructure and the government has increased the budget for infrastructure by 33 percent. It may be recalled that during the two-day Global Investors Summit, many dignitaries including Union Ministers, State Ministers, Industrialists and Ambassadors from India and abroad participated in this mega event.
