Corruption charges: HP CM files defamation suits against BJP leaders

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has filed three defamation suits against BJP leaders in Chief Judicial Magistrate's court at Shimla today. The BJP leaders against whom defamation suits have been filed had made allegations of corruption against the Chief Minister few days back.

Addressing a press conference in Shimla this morning, Mr Singh said a joint suit has been filed against BJP's national leader Arun Jaitley and opposition leader in Himachal State Assembly Prem Kumar Dhumal. The Chief Minister said, one suit has been filed against Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha National President and BJP MP from Hamirpur, Anurag Thakur and one against his younger brother Arun Dhumal.

Virbhadra Singh alleged that these BJP leaders have started a malicious propaganda against him and his family members through the media, which compelled him to file the defamation suits.
