The Centre today said that it will treat the Novel Coronavirus outbreak as a notified disaster for the purpose of providing assistance under the State Disaster Response Fund, SDRF. World Health Organization, WHO has already declared Coronavirus as a pandemic.<br />'' <br />'' The Home Ministry, in a letter to State Chief Secretaries, said, in case of procurement of essential equipment, the expenditure will be incurred only from the SDRF and not the National Disaster Response Fund, NDRF. The total expenditure on equipment should not exceed 10 per cent of the annual allocation of the SDRF.<br />'' <br />''With regard to the measures for quarantine, sample collection and screening, the State Executive Committee will decide the number of quarantine camps, their duration and the number of persons in such camps. Medical camps may also be provided by National Health Mission.
