Two more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Himachal Pradesh, taking the total number of active coronavirus patients to 18 in the state. One person each from Kangra and Chamba district tested COVID 19 positive at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (RPGMC) in Kangra district. The number of active cases in the state has gone up once again to 18. All these COVID 19 patients are being treated in various hospitals of the state. 12 COVID 19 patients have also been recovered.<br />'' <br />''The state government has directed the officers that no leniency would be tolerated while identifying and testing primary and secondary contacts of Tablighi Jamat. So far, 1053 Tablighi jammatis and their primary contacts identified and quarantine in the state. On the other hand, wearing masks has been made compulsory in the state. Whereas spitting in public places has been made an offense by the state government and its violation will attract stringent action.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, seasonal migration of sheep breeders is going on smoothly in Chamba and Kangra districts amid COVID-19 pandemic. Animal Husbandry department has set up five transit camps at Thulel, Khargat, Lahru, Berangal and Koti for providing veterinary aid and other logistics. so far 280 flocks have entered Chamba district.<br />'' <br />''The migration of Gujjar community along with their livestock into Chamba has not started till date. According to the official spokesperson, the nomads in the state have been given priority as per the directions of the Chief Minister and free movement of livestock has been allowed. The state government has already directed local administrations to provide all logistic help besides rations etc. to the migratory sheep and animal breeders like Gaddis and Gujjars etc of the state.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He said that till now 500 migrant livestock owners have been contacted who are under migration and about 150 ration kits have been provided to the needy persons through local administrations in the district of Sirmour, Solan, Shimla, Bilaspur, Una, Hamirpur, Mandi and Kangra. As far as marketing of milk of Gujjar community is concerned, 28 Gram Panchayats in Chamba district where Gujjars are based, are currently Coronavirus hotspots and therefore the sale of milk is affected. The people in these areas have been advised to prepare products like ghee, cheese etc. from surplus milk. The spokesperson further added that the department has not received any report of problems being faced by Gaddi and Gujjars from other districts of the state.</span><br />
