The country's eight core sectors grew 0(point)4 per cent in June this year. Growth in the eight infrastructure sectors had stood at 7 per cent in June last year, and 4.1 per cent in May this year. According to official data, production of coal declined 6.7 per cent in June this year, petroleum refinery products output fell 0.2 per cent, fertilizer output shrank 3.6 per cent, and cement output dropped 5.8 per cent.But crude oil output rose 0.6 per cent in June, natural gas output rose 6.4 per cent, steel production increased 5.8 percent, and power generation increased 0.7 per cent during the month under review.
