India says the Copenhagen Accord on Climate Change is a political document having no legal binding. <br/> <br/>Making a suo motu statement in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, the Minister of State for Environment and Forests, Mr Jairam Ramesh said that India became part of the document to bring about a consensus in the existing and ongoing two track multi lateral negotiation process under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). <br/> <br/>Mr Ramesh informed the House that New Delhi has put three conditions while associating with the accord that it is not a template for outcomes, and also not third track of negotiations outside the UN body. <br/> <br/>The minister expressed hope this will strengthen India's negotiating position on climate change.<br/><br/>
