Vice-Chairman of the NITI Aayog Dr Arvind Panagariya today said that cooperative federalism has been strengthened in the country after the establishment of NITI Aayog. Speaking at the valedictory function of International Conference on Cooperative Federalism in New Delhi this evening, he said, now states have greater power in decision making and their needs are being properly addressed by the Aayog. Dr Panagariya said, through multi-purpose and multi-modal platform PRAGATI many important issues are getting resolved. <br/><br/>He said, the Aayog has brought competitive federalism in states so that they can become best destination for investment and employment generation. He said, the Chief Minister's Sub-Group on important issues including centrally sponsored schemes is expected to yield better results.
