Control Room set-up in Lok Sabha Secretariat for emergency assistance in fight against COVID-19

<span style="color: #222222;">A Control Room has been set-up in Lok Sabha Secretariat with immediate effect to facilitate a quick interface between MPs, MLAs and public for emergency assistance in the fight against COVID-19. On the call by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla during a Video Conference with Presiding Officers of State Legislatures last Tuesday, several State Legislatures have established Control Rooms for immediate assistance.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Rajasthan, Haryana, Odisha, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh are among the first states to set up Control Rooms at their Legislature Secretariats. The Control Rooms have already started functioning to help real time exchange of information between State Legislatures and the Parliament. This will allow MPs, MLAs, and MLCs to discharge their duties in a more effective manner in fight against the challenge posed by COVID-19.</span><br />
