In Uttarakhand continuous rain from last two days at various places has disturbed the normal life especially in the hilly areas. As per reports Gangotri yatra route has been blocked due to landslides. Met department predicts more rain in the state in the next twenty four hours. AIR correspondent reports incessant rains have blocked the Gangotri yatra route following the landslides due to rain in Uttarkashi District from the last forty eight hours. Numerous vehicles have been stranded and pilgrims are facing problems due to weather. District Magistrate Akshat Gupta disclosed that road clearing operations are under way and they are hopeful to restore road connectivity to Gangotree latest by evening. Meanwhile, efforts are on to recover three vehicles buried under the debris of landslides near Nalupani, about 35 kilometers from Uttarkashi district headquarters. In capital Dehradun, heavy rains continued till mid afternoon.
