Continuous heavy rain causes flood like situation in Rajasthan, affecting normal life

In Rajasthan, heavy rain continues in more than 15 districts of Rajasthan. Flood-like situation has arisen due to heavy rain in Kota division. Many roads of the Kota division have been blocked. Water logging in low-lying colonies near Chambal river in Kota has severely affected normal life. Kota-Sangod, &nbsp;Kota-Gwalior, Sawai Madhopur-Sheopur roads and Kota-Jhalawar national highway have been blocked due to heavy rains.<br />”<br />”All schools of Kota, Bundi and Jhalawar districts remained closed today. Due to heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh, water is being released by opening 14 gates of Kota Barrage. In Jhalawar and Bundi also all major rivers are in spate and low-lying areas are flooded due to heavy rain in the district. Many roads have been blocked in Baran district due to heavy rain for the last 36 hours.<br />”<br />”<span style="color: #222222;">The Chhabda-Guna road is closed due to the spate of Parvati river. Many villages in Dholpur district have been evacuated due to increased inflow of water in Chambal river. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has expressed concern over the flood-like situation in Kota division. The Met Department has issued a red alert of rain for Banswara, Dungarpur, Jhalawar and Pratapgarh districts today.</span><br />
