In all, 18 thousand 231 new cases of COVID were reported in the state on 8th of May, which declined to 14 thousand 289 yesterday. Our correspondent reports that a decrease in the number of new cases has been witnessed in all the districts of the state except Alwar district.<br />''<br />''There has been a decrease in the number of new cases in the state, but the positivity rate is still more than 21 per cent. A decline in the number of new cases has also been witnessed in the capital Jaipur, but the positivity rate remains more than 30 per cent here. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has instructed to work on a new strategy to reduce the positivity rate in the capital. The Police and the Administration are totally engaged in compliance of lockdown in all the districts to break the COVID chain. A fine of one lakh rupees is being imposed on the gathering of more than 11 people in the marriage. Drones are also being used by the police to monitor the lockdown provisions in several district headquarters. Meanwhile, the increasing number of COVID patients in the villages continues to be a cause of concern for the Health Department and the Administration.</span><br />
