Contaminated kuttu flour: Number of people falling ill rises to 60

In Haryana, the number of people who fell ill after consuming food items made of contaminated buckwheat (kuttu) flour has increased further to around 60. In Faridabad district 3 people, Ambala 10 people and at Rohtak 10 number of people are reported to be seriously ill.In Yamunangar district the number of such patients has risen to 12. The Rohtak Chief Medical Officer said that the buckflour consumed by the patients might be having intoxicants and fungus, which generally develop in the old flour. According to administration the samples of the flour are being examined and people are advised to not use buckflour rather use fruit, potatoes etc during their fast in the Navratras.
