Government has put in place comprehensive consumer redressal systems to address their concerns. Speaking at a function in New Delhi, the Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, K V Thomas said that the mechanism includes regulators and ombudsman. He said the impact of consumer protection act is now perceptible in goods and services sector. Several functions are being organised on Friday through out the country to mark the consumer protection day. Government has also launched a publicity campaign for consumers' awareness.
