The National Consumer Helpline has received more than 10 thousand telephonic calls on consumer-related issues during August. It also received 1452 complaints through the online complaint system. A maximum of 2655 calls were received from Delhi followed by Uttar Pradesh (1652), Maharashtra (1377) and Haryana (975). AIR correspondent reports that consumers from across the country can access the toll free National Consumer Helpline number and seek telephonic counseling for their problems. The number is – 1800 11 400. The helpline also provides information, advice and guidance on consumer issues. Complaints can also be registered on the website – www.nationalconsumerhelpline.com
