Indian Consulates in China have continued their engagement with the Indian diaspora. Consulate General of India in Guangzhou organized the 3rd edition of "A Conversation on the Contribution of Indian Diaspora towards Atma Nirbhar Bharat" in Foshan on Tuesday to interact with the Indian diaspora based in Southern China. Consul General, Shambhu Hakki addressed the members of the Indian community and sought to know their viewpoints to promote Indian exports to China.<br />''<br />''Members of the community apprised the Consulate regarding the issues faced by them and offered valuable suggestions in this regard. Mr. Hakki thanked them for their valuable suggestions and assured them all possible help to resolve the issues faced by them. The event is part of the Consulate's initiatives to work with Indian diaspora to celebrate 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' with a special focus on 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat'. The earlier two editions were held in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.<br />''<br />''Last week, Mr. Hakki also met the office bearers of Guangdong Cross-border E-Commerce Association and discussed ways to promote Indian products on Chinese e-commerce platforms. He said that there are many products. Guangzhou consulate has identified coffee, tea, leather items, gems and jewelry, marine products, etc. which will be promoted. He also held a virtual meeting of the office bearers &amp; members of Federation of Indian Exporters Organisation (FIEO) &amp; the Sea Food Exporters Association. The current issues faced by the exporters and ways to promote marine products were discussed.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">Last week Consulate General, Shanghai took up issues faced by separated families, students &amp; professionals due to visa restrictions on Indian citizens with Ms Yan Yanqiu, Director, Consular office, Shanghai FAO. A list of Indian nationals awaiting their return to Shanghai was also shared with Chinese officials.</span><br />
