The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 2pm. As the House met after the first adjournment, Samajwadi party members again rushed to the well opposing Constitutional Amendment Bill providing reservation in promotion for SCs and STs in government jobs. The Congress members were also on their feet demanding inquiry into the alleged Gas deal in Gujarat reported by a magazine. The Deputy
chairman P J Kurien adjourned the House till 2pm. Earlier, the House
was adjourned for an hour as the SP members demanded release of Muslim youth languishing in jails. The Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 12.30 as the treasury bench members shouted slogans against the Gujarat gas deal. In the din, the Speaker Mrs Meira Kumar adjourned the House.
