Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha today said that the constant blocking of Parliament by Congress over the National Herald case is sad for democracy. Speaking to media in New Delhi, he said issues related to individuals are bringing down the entire system. <br/><br/>Mr. Sinha said the crucial Goods and Services Tax – GST Bill is awaiting Rajya Sabha's approval for the landmark indirect tax arrangement to kick in from 1st April next year. Mr. Sinha said the government is keen to introduce GST to replace a host of central and state levies, in a bid to boost investment by making it easier to do business.
