The Government is considering an increase in toll tax on the National Highways across the country.

In reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today, Minister of state for Road Transport and Highways, Jitin Prasada, said that a proposal for amending the National Highways fee rules is under consideration.

The proposed amendment will rationalize toll tax to construct more highways, he said.
