The member countries at the ongoing Bio-diversity Conference in Hyderabad, are scheduled to adopt documents on four issues – Global Strategy on Plant Conservation, Bio fuels, Global Taxonomy and incentive measures today.
Stating this to media UN spokesperson David Ainsworth said, the members have broadly arrived at a consensus on these issues during deliberations.
However, he said, deliberations are still continuing on the issue of resource mobilization for implementing Bio-diversity Targets.
He said, the contact Group comprising 150 members will continue the parleys over the week-end also and exuded hope that the discussions will reach a fruitful stage by Monday.
The UN spokesperson further said that climate change, island biodiversity and ecosystem restoration are among the issues being discussed today.
