External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said that connectivity is central to the globalisation process and it is particularly important for Asia's growth and development. She said, India is simultaneously seeking to overcome basic problems of physical connectivity, even as it endeavour to leapfrog and strengthen the digital connectivity. <br/><br/>Mrs Swaraj was speaking at the inaugural session of the Raisina Dailouge on topic of the 'Asian Connectivity' in New Delhi yesterday evening. She said, economic activities form a bond between and within nations. She said, India's conviction remains that the logic of larger regional cooperation will prevail over vested interests. <br/><br/>Pointing out that terrorism, use of force by states in territorial disputes and natural disasters disrupt connectivity, Mrs Swaraj said India has earned a reputation of a constructive player in the global arena and has become a natural participant in most important global conversations. <br/><br/>Raisina Dialogue is a new initiative taken jointly by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Observer Research Foundation. It is meant to create an international platform in India for policy makers and strategic thinkers to deliberate on the key issues of the day.
