Congress workers on Friday held protest demonstrations at several places in the country against former RSS Chief K S Sudarsan's remarks against party President Sonia Gandhi. At Ambala, his effigy was burnt at the main crossing in the city. Congress workers held protest demonstrations at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh demanding an apology for the remarks. Congress workers also protested in Kolkata, Patna, Chennai, Hyderabad, Nasik in Maharashtra and at several other places in the country. Meanwhile, the RSS and the BJP have expressed their regret over the derogatory remarks made against Sonia Gandhi by K S Sudarsan. Both described the remarks as unfortunate. BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said the RSS has clarified its stand over the remarks and BJP's views are the same as expressed by RSS on the issue.
